Okay, so you want to get into Drone Racing using FPV technology huh?
Well now you can, using the 220 Size it keeps the costs pretty low while at the same time maxing out the power, the Eachine Wizard X220S FPV Racing Drone is completely Ready to Fly (RTF) straight from the box!
You don’t have to build these things or tinker around getting everything to fit and work together because its all done for you, its ready to go, its already tuned for maximum performance.
The First Person View (FPV) system is fantastic with a
800TVL camera, with on-screen display and little noise too, plus you can see in the dark with this set up because it comes with night vision. It comes with a mushroom antenna, a 24-volt input, with its 600mw. Plus a monitor with built-in receiver. This set up alone is worth the money. Eachine has really done well with the set up here.
If you wanted to change a few things around you can do that too, you could even swap the parts around or even make another racing
drone if you wish. Although it would be sacrilege to take this little beauty apart as it works so well.
You could take it all apart to use the motors, the props, fpv, video monitor, flight controller, and the receiver and transmitter.
This Racing Drone is nice and stable, it is designed to take the more powerful 4S Lipo Battery or if you really want to Fly then the 5S Battery will be the choice for you.
As for the maximum range of the Eachine Wizard X220S FPV Racing Drone, there have been reports of this Racing Drone going over a 1.5-kilometer range and still remain in control. Even up to a 1.7klm line of sight
The receiver has long antennas which obviously help with this but the area in which you are flying can also make a difference.
There’s plenty of space for the camera and the battery, plus even more space should you need it. If you’re feeling technical, you can rearrange the whole package to increase the weight ratios.
One reviewer mentioned that he uses strong velcro on both the battery and the housing to prevent the battery from moving around or causing damage to other parts if the racer ever crashes or lands heavily.
I wouldn’t really think that this drone would be a good idea to learn to fly, it’s more the kind of drone that someone is wanting to move up to after they have learned the basics and are now ready to go up a couple of gears.
The Eachine Wizard X220S FPV Racing Drone is not really newbie friendly it doesn’t have the little programs installed which can often help to get someone with little or no experience with getting off the ground, and staying in the air with things like the auto take of & landings or the headless mode or even a 3- axis gyro and or accelerometers which would assist with stabilizing the drone in flight. Neither does it have any GPS capability, although this could be added later.
But let’s get back to the basic need of this Racing Drone, those two words say it all. If you wanted a drone with all the frills and fancy programming you would buy another drone, no question. But if you want to fly as fast as possible then this drone just might be the one for you.

Current feedback score stands at 3.1 out of 5 Stars which on the face of it don’t sound that good but when you start reading them as I suggest you do, you are able to find out a great deal about the Drone and customer service too. I thought that this report was excellent “Customer support has been perfect as well, any issue I have had, they have been able to provide a solution.
Pairs well with the Eachine Goggles as well, making the complete FPV racing package.”
The overall score though can be misleading, many of the negative reviews seem to come from people who have crashed and wrecked their racing drone as a result, then look to lay the blame at someone else’s door. The chances are that many of these crashes could have been avoided had they got to know their drone a little better. With the speed of these being so high one twitch of the lever and its game over. This are simply my thoughts though, so learn to master your drone before racing off.
