Introducing The ARRIS C250 V2, this racing drone is no toy, it has been created for serious flyers who are ready to race, and ready to win. The basic structure of the frame is that of a tower structure which is easy to assemble and easy to repair. It is made from high-quality 3K Carbon Fibre for the frame and this material is imported from Japan. Its arms are 4mm thick but are still light strong and durable. The weight of the frame is only 136g
The tower ESC?FC comes with integrated OSD so no need to install this separately. The motors used to power this racing drone are the high-efficiency X2205 2300kv which have proven to be highly efficient and should provide a longer working life. The battery used to power the 4 motors is the powerful 4S 1500mah 50C lipo battery. The propeller blades are the highly efficient 5042 blades which increase the performance of the standard blades by around 10%.

Finally, the camera used to feed the FPV facility has been made adjustable as opposed to a fixed
position as many other Racing Drones have. The ARRIS XAT 700M FPV Mini Camera for FPV Racing Drones is specially designed for First Person Viewing. It performs well in both bright and dark condition with 700TVL giving a high-quality image.
The ARRIS TS5823L with LED can transmit a full range of up to 40 channels and only weighs 10g. This makes it a great choice for a wide range of drones or other radio controlled devices.
Unusually on a racing drone, this one does have a couple of settings which you can choose to use. The first one is the self-level mode which is obvious, press this button and the drone will continue to fly level when you leave the stick on the controller in the center. It may help anyone who is new to racing drones although I would
really say that a racing drone is going to be newbie friendly. The second setting is Manual Mode and it is self-explanatory in this mode you can do much more maneuvering or acrobatics and rolls and flips etc.
Conclusion It sounds great to say I’ve got a racing drone doesn’t it and lots of people will buy them, plus its true that to a degree most racing quads are set up by the various companies before they are shipped out and most will either come with instructions or at the very least a link to where the instructions are kept.
But let’s face it most of are going to open the box and begin playing around purely because of the excitement. However, it is always advisable to thoroughly read and understand the instructions to know exactly what switch does what and getting to know your controller is also essential.
The biggest leap is going to be in moving over to a racing quad, it’s totally different to flying standard drones so another top tip is to have a few hours in a racing quad simulator where possible but another safe way will be to fly it’s first flight do it in a flat field and keep it there so you can see it always even if you have FPV, this is purely a safety thing for your own sake, keep control of it until you know how the racing quad is going to react to your touch, then you can begin to really put the racing drone through its paces and really get serious about it.

There are often little pearls of wisdom contained in Amazon’s Feedback Section see HERE! where you will also find links to Questions and Answers from past purchasers. This Drone from ARRIS has a rating of 4 out of 5 Stars which is quite good although there are currently 24 Feedback reports. Some of the reports state that some items are not up to scratch like the velcro pads for the shock absorbing landing pads coming off after a few landings and even the propellers not being very good. But all in all, you can upgrade these cheap items and improve upon what you have, At $309 it’s not a bad price although you will have to allow for the cost of a decent and safe charger.
