I recently came across this Fully Immersible Drone with a 4K Camera and you I mean waterproof and fully immersible. I was amazed at what this guy did out in the Hawaiian Islands no less. So SwellPro is saying that this drone is indeed the Worlds First Modular All Weather Waterproof Drone and they are still confident that it has a great platform to carry a 4K Camera and a 2 axis-gimbal to keep the shots and the FPV Camera view stable. See the video below;
The Splash Drone 3 Auto is the most advanced Splash drone ever released. The first two releases were okay but had slight issues that have now been corrected. But this amphibious flying platform is so good that I have heard of people fishing with these things, unbelievable.
With a new quick release module system, it means you can attach and detach different fittings to the basic drone to give you maximum versatility. It now allows you to fly in most weather conditions which would ground most other drones and similar aircraft, the manufacturers also state that this drone is so serious that it could be used for such varied roles like aerial photography, underwater filming, search and rescue missions on and off water (maybe even underwater if the water is clear enough), Mountain Rescue, Missing Person Finding,
Ocean surveys and even Fishing or Fish Finding.
The Camera really is a top quality 4K Camera which is also sealed and fully waterproof with its integrated 2 axis gimbal. This allows you get some unusual images and extremely smooth videos. You are using the Camera with its FPV mode so you can see as you fly the drone and while flying in the sky or even under the water’s surface you can collect video footage or still images even underwater if the water is clear enough.
If you wish you can link to your smartphone to the ground station, the Drone changes from joystick control to a few screen taps on the
This enables several smart features, which are: Follow Me – for selfies etc, Mission Planning, Tap-to-Fly, Return Home, Auto-land and Low Battery Alert.
This is the stage that I would be looking for the customer reviews from Amazon Customers especially but I have to say that after reading all of the 5 reviews I was disappointed, All the write-up and company literature point to an Excellent product so full of promise, but out of the 5 reviews, only one gave a positive review the rest were bad, failed product issues followed by bad service, which was a real shame, I really like the look of this All-Weather Drone especially its potential. Maybe it’s just the series 3 that has a few blemishes to sort out. I know that the guy in Hawaii purposely let his drone flip into the sea, only to find that it wouldn’t right itself as it should have and he had to swim out to retrieve it. So what would have happened if he could not do so for whatever reason. The drone should have been able to recover itself, it advertises that fact in their literature, but instead, it powered down. It is a good looking drone with some fantastic ideas, but it must be able to show, that it all works as it should, after all, it’s almost $2,ooo when you include the extra accessories that need to go with it. I would certainly be interested in having this drone once these final kinks are sorted, so I wouldn’t close the doors on this one just yet.
