This is another hand sized Drone from Eachine and with it being pocket sized it is very similar to the Mavic but much cheaper at $92.99 and that is with three batteries which should give you a head start, although a multi-charger and a few more batteries won’t go amiss.
On face value you are getting quite a lot for your money here, the altitude hold feature for one together with the headless mode and one key return is going to make life a lot easier for first-time flyers. The 6 axis gyro-stabilization is added to this totaling 4 features that were until recently were only available on the more expensive models.

From what many people are saying it is an easy and fun drone to fly thanks in part to the few features that are built into the drone, it was
always going to make flying a little easier. I see this drone aimed squarely at the first timer because of this. It looks great too and it’s not going to break the bank should any unfortunate accidents befall you.
I personally think that its great to have these Maveric look-alikes but don’t go expecting the same standard of performance as the maverick, its really in a different division. The fact that it is foldable certainly makes it possible to fit in a small back which you will need because of the controller, the extra batteries, spanners etc. So while claims are made often made saying it fits in your pocket forget it, unless you are going to fill all of your pockets at once.
Looking at the Radio Transmitter/Controller it is made of similar materials as the drone, it’s mainly plastic and it feels well put together. The various controls feel good and spring back to the centre when
released and work exactly as they should.
The Altitude Hold along with the Headless Mode works really well and again it will give first-time flyers confidence as they get used to the rest of the controls, especially if they begin in the lowest setting, to begin with, they should be okay.
The onboard Camera is a basic 720p HD and records images well if you want to use FPV mode you can as the wifi signal is strong so if you use a smartphone which will sit using the arms below the controller. It is basic but you can’t grumble at the cost of this machine.
The E58 is attractive and looks the part and I’m sure it will keep someone very happy flying it indoor and out, fortunately, the drone is supplied with prop guards if you need to use them as well as a spare set of blades. Like I said earlier the additional two batteries should give you around 7 to 10 minutes each so that’s almost half an hour of pleasure as you fly around the garden or park or even in the house. Let’s face it, flying a drone is cool, so you need a cool looking drone and the E58 fits the bill without breaking the bank.
Just read some of the feedback that has been left by some of Amazons Customers over 75% of the drones buyers give it 5 Stars out of 5 which is pretty good, just take a look here!
But if you wish to keep your costs as low as possible then this set may suit you better for less than $60 see the link below.
My thoughts on this little drone is that it can be a great introduction for anyone wanting to get into Drone Flying for the first time or in fact anyone wishing to have such a portable drone like the Maveric but without the DJI’s Pricetag. Its wifi and FPV and it all fits into a nice neat package. It does have a sd card slot so once you have inserted your own card, because there isn’t one automatically provided, you will be able to record your flight videos to the card or if connected to your phone it can be stored there two.
There are one or two points about the E58 Drone which is typical of many drones of its type and it concerns the camera which is in a fixed position on the drone, and the clue is in the term fixed, it cannot be moved at all although you can set its position before take off but once it’s in the air, its down to the pilot to make adjustments with the drone itself. Another slight niggle is that no storage devices are actually provided within the package even though a sd port is fitted to the drone. Eachine are not alone in this but I suppose its all to do with pricing and competitive nature of the drone market as a whole.
As I have already mentioned, I really beleive that the E58 Wifi FPV Drone is a great starter drone, ideal for anyone wishing to try out Drone Flying but without spending a fortune in doing so. It is also great for anyone just wanting a cheap selfie style portable drone without breaking the bank. Okay, so it doesn’t have all the safety features of DJI’s Maveric, but neither does it have the pricetag! Owning this drone will get you in the air safely and to grow in confidence as you create videos and experience the thrill of flying a drone.
